TUNNELING DEVICE

This prototyping device harnesses a tunnel diode as a source of randomness. When electron transport in this device is dominated by quantum tunneling effect, the current flow fluctuates randomly. This behavior is key to our random number generation.

More technical details can be reviewed in Appl. Phys. Lett. 119, 074002 (2021) or arXiv:2002.02032 [physics.app-ph].

PHOTONIC QRNG

We have two independent quantum origins based on a photonic platform.

QUANTIS QRNG
This device is a commercial quantum random number generator (QRNG) made by ID Quantique.

NECTEC QRNG
This in-house prototype utilized time-bin encoded photons for the generation of quantum randomness. More details to be published soon.
